July 24, 2012 Board Meeting Agenda Item #20 Title APPROVAL OF ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF THE EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES DOCUMENT (SP&P) FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2012-13 Description The three-year cycle for the SP&P document, currently in effect, expires at the end of the 2011-12 school year. Due to changes resulting from the rule development process and the development of a new web-based SP&P, it has been determined that a one-year extension, through 2012-13, is the most effective way to meet all requirements in a timely manner. Recommendation That the one-year extension of the Exceptional Student Education Policies and Procedures Document (SP&P) effective through the 2012-13 school year, be approved as presented.
